What we keep
When you first open SaveHawk we create a guest account for you. It holds what you save in the app: your shopping list, watched products, favourite stores, weekly budget, the shopping trips you record in the calendar, prices you add, your points, the days you tick things off your list or buy them on a scanned receipt (to remind you before you run out) and the city you chose (to tell you when watched products get cheaper there). We don’t ask for your name, phone number or location. If you choose to save your account, we keep your email address, only to send you sign-in codes.
Why
Only to run the app for you: to keep your data safe if you lose or change your phone, and to show prices for the city you choose.
Where
Everything is stored on SaveHawk’s own servers in Saudi Arabia. We don’t sell your data or share it with stores or advertisers.
Prices you add
Shelf prices you add may be shown to other shoppers, without your name or account.
Receipts you scan
Only if you choose to scan a receipt (we ask first): the photo is read by a trusted AI service, outside Saudi Arabia, to pick out the shop, date and prices. The service doesn’t use it to train AI and keeps it only briefly before deleting it; we delete it from our servers once it’s read. We keep only what was read: the shop, date, total and items, so the trip appears in your calendar. Card numbers aren’t kept.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we keep your phone’s notification address, your city and app language, to tell you about price drops and things you usually buy. To reach your phone, notifications pass through Expo and Google or Apple, as every app’s do. You can turn them off in your phone’s settings at any time.
Household lists
If you join a household, its members see the shared shopping list and the first name you chose. Nothing else of yours is shared, and you can leave at any time.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time: Settings → Delete my account and data. It’s removed from our servers at once.
